Impulse is a library for building dynamic physics based interactions, with a focus on mobile web.

Create animations that flow naturally from the user’s movements.

Rather than animating properties for a set amount of time, impulse takes a start position, end position, and velocity.

The Future

Impulse is currently focused on creating natural feeling interactions. The next steps are

  • Create a great API for dynamic animations that don’t follow from a user’s interactions.
  • Build a collection of polished and curated UI components built on top of Impulse.

Here are some examples of this library – Chat Heads, pulldownMenu, Inertia Scroll, Oridomi Cover, Bouncy Scrolling.
